Junior Red Cross (JRC)

The Junior Red Cross (JRC), under the Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch, aims to cultivate compassion, discipline, humanitarian values and social responsibility among school students across Haryana.

Through school-based Junior Red Cross units, the programme encourages students to participate in health and hygiene awareness, basic first aid education, environmental protection, cleanliness campaigns, road safety initiatives, community service and humanitarian activities.

JRC also organises training camps, educational workshops, competitions, cultural exchanges and awareness programmes to promote leadership, teamwork, friendship and mutual understanding among young learners.

Rooted in the seven Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross Movement, JRC seeks to develop empathy, confidence, responsible citizenship and a lifelong commitment to voluntary service.

By encouraging children to contribute positively to their schools, families and communities, the Junior Red Cross nurtures young humanitarian ambassadors who embody the values of kindness, cooperation, peace and service to humanity.
